So you can't trick this using the system time to believe you're actually posting at an earlier date. Looks like it's more or less real time.
[root@fed10 ~]# date --set="Tue Sep 1 00:00:01 2001"
Sat Sep 1 00:00:01 PHT 2001
[root@fed10 ~]# date
Sat Sep 1 00:00:08 PHT 2001
